Highlights of the Niroga Institute’s work teaching Transformative Life Skills — a multi-modality practice involving mindful movement, breathing and meditation — to young people at three Bay Area schools: Lincoln Elementary in Richmond, Emiliano Zapata Street Academy in Oakland, and the Job Corps campus in San Jose. Some of the benefits mentioned by students are improvements in confidence, self-control, self-awareness, the ability to express oneself, the ability to focus and pay attention in school, and stress reduction. Produced by Schecter Films for the Niroga Institute. Partially funded by a grant from the Full Circle Fund. For more information, please visit www.niroga.org.
